Rihanna begins her longest Billboard Hot 100 reign, as “We Found Love,” featuring Calvin Harris, spends its first of 10 weeks at No. 1.

Calvin Harris’ solo hits are climbing the charts, but the DJ/producer behind Rihanna’s “We Found Love” says he doesn’t want to be “the man in front with a microphone.”

This week in charts: Rihanna is denied a No. 1 album yet again, beat out not by Nickelback or Mary J. Blige - also released last week - but by a Michael Buble Christmas album released more than a month ago. Seventh time’s a charm, Ri.

In the tightest race for No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in four years, Buble’s “Christmas” sold just over 227,000 - ahead of Nickelback’s “Here and Now,” which sold a bit under 227,000, by a tiny 0.18% margin.

As for Rihanna, she debuted at No. 3 this week with “Talk That Talk,” which sold 197,000 copies.


A ripe ole handful of massive albums came out this week, just in time for Black Friday. Which one’s going to be No. 1 next week? Will Rihanna notch her first No. 1 album?

Rihanna’s “We Found Love” continues to rule the Hot 100 chart this week, but watch out, Ri - Taylor’s coming for you. Swift’s “If This Was a Movie” debuts high, at No. 10.
