Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie,” featuring Rihanna, ascends to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, where it reigns for seven weeks.
Rihanna’s “We Found Love” not only sits atop the Hot 100 chart for its seventh week, the Calvin Harris-assisted track matches Rihanna’s longest Hot 100 reign (previously set by “Umbrella”). And just as we say buh-bye to 2011, Rihanna’s gone and matched Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” for most weeks at No. 1 this year. That’s about as far from a hopeless place as you can get.
