A year ago today, Little Monsters rejoiced, as Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” bowed at No.1 on the Billboard 200. The set has sold 2.2 million copies to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

We had the honor of attending the Little Kids Rock benefit at New York’s Edison Ballroom on Thursday, where Gaga accepted the Big Man of the Year award for her contributions to music education. She also gave a touching speech about her grandpa, prevailed in a dinner auction bidding war, and rawk-posed with some super lucky kids, who were clearly born (to pose) this way.
